March Scrap Bee Blocks

Hi Everyone!  Well, this has been a month of turmoil and upheaval for me.  The renovation is nearly complete, with only one more sink and faucet to install before the final walk through.  I am hoping to get the furniture back up from the basement this weekend so I can begin the task of putting the house back together.  I will take photos once I actually have some furniture in place!  The house seems empty without the sofas and chairs and little knick-knacks we all accumulate over the years.

Very little quilting was done in the past few weeks, but I did manage to complete my blocks for the Scrap Bee I belong to over at http://www.15minutesplay.com/.

Enjoy!

This month's block is 5.5 inches and must use soothing neutral and whites.

I threw in a little pale green, just because.

See?  I think the green works.

Here is one block made, using the phone book paper as foundation.

Ready to trim off the excess fabric.  Larger pieces go back into the scrap basket.

Nearly finished the trimming.

Here is one block finished, now to remove the paper foundation from the back.

Four blocks ready to be sent off.

  2. I do like the touch of green. It's just enough to perk up the all beige blocks.

I have thought about you a few times during the week. Glad to see you got some sewing done and happy to hear that the renovation is almost complete.
