Something different for me

Hi everyone!  I'm still puttering around, not spending nearly enough time in my sewing room as I would like, but that's life.  I pulled out my Cool Blues quilt again and have made some progress.  I'm determined to just get this one finished and then send it off to be long-armed...no way I'm going to attempt to quilt this baby.

Stopped in to see what was new at one of my local quilt stores earlier this week and came home with some fabrics that are truly out of my comfort zone.  I do have a project in mind for these fabrics, but you'll just have to wait and see.

Enjoy!

Time to get this one finished.  Three more blocks to go!

And now for something completely different!  Skulls and crossbones...oh yeah, and some flowers too.

Couldn't resist this beautiful red batik.

Mmmh, definitely not my usual sort of fabric.  Oh well, sometimes you just have to go with your gut instinct, right?

  3. I definetly like the dark one! Sure you'll find a nice project to use it.
Like you I bought some fabrics outside my comfort zone.
Kaffe Fasset being one of them and I was pleasantly surprised with the final result.
