One block down...eight to go

One quick post before I leave for NYC, Montreal and a drive across the prairies with my DD.  Will try to post on the road...who knows, I may stop at a quilt store or two along the way. :-)

Work on my baby urban nine-patch has come to a grinding halt as I ran out of the lovely peacock blue fabric.  More is on the way and will have to wait until my return.

For the time being...here's a peek at a completed block.

Enjoy!

This is going to be a vibrant quilt...love that peacock blue from Kona!  Just noticed that my camera is set for 2012...ooops!  Better change that right away.

This is the nametag I made for our modern quilt guild challenge.  There were so many cute nametags made, with beads and charms...I must remember to take photos next time!  You could also find us on Facebook if you like...just search for Calgary Modern Quilt Guild.

  4. what a great block, takes some patience and skill to put it together properly, congrats on the challenge and enjoy that road trip! The southern saskatchewan prairies are lovely! my second favourite part of Canada, the first is my back yard in BC...
